Jubilee prayer in ENGLISH
The Jubilee is an experience of faith and a profound encounter with the Lord. The official prayer of His Holiness Pope Francis for the Holy Year is below and has been available in three languages for our Archdiocese, English, Afrikaans, isiXhosa.
Jubilee Prayer
Father in heaven,
may the faith you have given us
in your son, Jesus Christ, our brother,
and the flame of charity enkindled
in our hearts by the Holy Spirit,
reawaken in us the blessed hope
for the coming of your Kingdom.
May your grace transform us
into tireless cultivators of the seeds of the Gospel.
May those seeds transform from within both humanity and the
whole cosmos
in the sure expectation
of a new heaven and a new earth,
when, with the powers of Evil vanquished,
your glory will shine eternally.
May the grace of the Jubilee
reawaken in us, Pilgrims of Hope,
a yearning for the treasures of heaven.
May that same grace spread
the joy and peace of our Redeemer
throughout the earth.
To you our God, eternally blessed,
be glory and praise for ever.

Jubileum Gebed
Hemelse Vader,
Mag die geloof in u Seun, Jesus Christus, ons broeder, wat u ons
skenk, en die vlam van liefde wat deur die Heilige Gees in ons harte
aangesteek is, nuwe hoop in die koms van u koninkryk in ons
verwek.
Mag u genade ons verander in toegewyde kwekers van die saad van
die Evangelie.
Mag daardie saad die mensdom en die hele skepping nuut vorm in
die seker hoop op n nuwe hemele en n nuwe aarde waar alle
boosheid vir ewig oorwin sal word en waar u glorie in alle ewigheid
sal skyn.
Mag die genade van die Jubileum ons, Pelgrims van Hoop, laat
smag na die hemelse skatte.
Mag daardie selfde genade die vreugde en vrede van ons Heiland
oor die hele aarde heen versprei.
Glorie en lof aan u, ons ewig-geseende God, vir ewig en altyd.

Lwanga ukholo osinike lona ngo nyana wakho,
uYesu Kristu, umzalwana wethu, kunye ne langatye lesisa,
linga vutha ezintliziweni zethu ngoMoya oYingcwele, kuvuseleleke kuthi ithemba elisikelelekileyo ebukumkanini bakho obuzayo.
Lwanga ufefe lwakho lungasitshintsha singadinwa
Kukuvakalisa ivangeli.
Ngamana ezombewu zingaguqula kuthi Ubuntu
Kunye nehlabathi kulindelo oluqinisekileyo lwezulu elitsha
