WHAT IS JUBILEE 2025
Jubilee has its roots in the Old Testament and is a time of forgiveness and pardon, liberation, and renewal. It resonates deeply within the human spirit and our innate longing for a fresh start. It is an invitation to conversion; to deepen our relationship and put all things right with God, our neighbour and all of creation. We are called to bring hope and light into the world as "Pilgrims of Hope" placing our trust in God.

The Jubilee year with its strong message of renewal, renovation and hope has coincided in a fitting way with the restoration of the Cathedral. In 2000 restoration work was done on the Cathedral and this year the refurbishment will continue with much needed urgent work to preserve the structural integrity of the building.
